Books that changed your lives
Famouspick recaps Lifehacker’s survey of its readers asking which books changed their lives. There’s really no surprise — The Bible ranked No.1, and “The Works of Ayn Rand” (“Fountainhead,” “Atlas Shrugged” and “Anthem”) ranked No. 2.
There’s some other good books on the list: “1984,” “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” etc.
So it’s not just the Library of Congress/Book of the Month Club’s 1991 survey that shows Rand’s writings are relevant. Eighteen years later, “Atlas Shrugged” still holds up!
